To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. Luke 1:27
Today you are invited to consider Mary, who was little more than a girl. She was given good news – and yet it was news that would condemn her in the eyes of many of her friends and family. It was news that could even result in her being put to death. How do you react when you hear of events that appear to be all bad. Do you instantly believe the media hype? Or do you sound the voice of reason? Do you jump to judge, or do you wait to hear more before you give your opinion? How did Mary feel when people looked at her with condemnation in their eyes? How would you feel if you were wrongly accused of something? Who would you turn to? How would you ask God to intervene? Do you believe He would do so on your behalf – or on the behalf of anyone who was wrongly accused?
May God bless you as you strive to follow the facts and not just the media or public opinion.
