Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labour and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or dfemale servant , nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, but He rested on the seventh day. Therefor the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. Exodus 20:8-11
Today you are invited to consider which day of the week you keep as the Sabbath (for some it may not always be a Sunday). What does the Sabbath mean to you? How do you honour it? What makes it holy for you? Perhaps you go to church for an hour or two, but what about the rest of the day? How do you honour God on the Sabbath? What is God saying to you in this regard? How will you respond? If it is a challenge to start laying aside the Sabbath for God, ask Him to show you how to do it.
May God bless you as you honour Him today and in the days ahead.
