I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. Recalling your tears, I long to see you so that I may be filled with joy. 2 Timothy 1:3-4
Today you are invited to consider those who are far away. Whatever the reason, pray for them however you feel you need to. Maybe they have gone home to Jesus ahead of you; maybe they live in a distant land; maybe the relationship is strained and, although they are geographically close, the distance yawns between you. How will you pray for them today? Read these verses again. What lead can you take from Paul as he writes to his friend? What is God saying to you today about the way you pray for those who are far away? How will you respond?
May God bless you with healing, comfort, peace as you pray for those who are far away today.
