Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Today you are invited to look back and consider the comfort you have received from God in times of trouble. What do you want to say to Him about His comfort today? Now, look around you. Ask God to show you who needs comfort at this time. How will you use your own experience to comfort others? What is God asking you to do? Reach out to such people today with one hand, whilst you hold on to the Lord Who is comfort and compassion with the other. Follow His lead. Make a note in your journal how this made you feel and what happens.
