‘Let us rejoice and be glad and give (our Lord God Almighty) glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready …’ Then the angel said to (John), ‘Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!’ And he added, ‘These are the true words of God.’ Revelation 19:7, 9
Today you are invited to consider how you feel about your role in the wedding feast of the Lamb. Think back to your own wedding or that of someone you love. How did you feel? How did you celebrate? Now imagine how you will feel when you are at the wedding of the Lamb of God (Jesus Christ) and His Bride (the Church). What a wedding supper there will be! And in pride of place, there will the Bread and Wine to share amongst all who are present. How does this picture affect your concept of Holy Communion? Tell God about how you are feeling at the moment – and if you are struggling in any way ask Him to help you.
